Projection of the film Kid's Playground by Olga Egorova and
Dmitry Vilensky + Dinner with Dmitry Vilensky

February 11 - 17

While the bookshop Section 7 Books occupies Kadist Art Foundation's space (from Tuesday to
Sunday 2 - 7pm), ), « Société Anonyme » hosts every week a series of events (lectures, screenings, etc...) and discussions around the key issues of the exhibition: hospitality, new institutionalism, self-organization, intellectual sociality, the economics of art today, the culture of enthusiasm, the modalities for circulating and sharing ideas and information, political consciousness...

Thus, (almost) every week, « Société Anonyme » organizes a dinner with an artist or curator, gathering 25 persons for an open-ended conversation, around a menu prepared for the occasion by an invited chef or restaurant.

Saturday, February 16, at 8.30 pm sharp

World premiere of the film Kid's Playground by Olga Egorova (Tsaplya) and
Dmitry Vilensky (45').

Olga Egorova and Dmitry Vilensky, members of the group Chto Delat? from Saint-Petersburg, shot this film in the context of the first part of « Société Anonyme » in a playground in Paris's 10th arrondissement, on May 6, 2007, the day of the second turn of the French presidential elections.

Gathering non-professional actors, political activists, illegal immigrants, as well as park strollers and their children, Kid's Playground is a filmed performance, both a work of fiction and a documentary about a Spring Sunday, a particular day where questions concerning contemporary France are at stake: the use of public space and its growing privatization, political commitment, refugee rights, freedom of circulation.
In other words, the fate of the founding notions of the French Republic: Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.

Sunday, February 17, at 8pm sharp
A dinner with... Dmitry Vilensky (Chto Delat ?/ What is to be done ?)

« Société Anonyme » invites you to a dinner followed by a conversation with Dmitry Vilensky revolving around the film Kid's Playground, produced by and in the context of « Société Anonyme ».
Starting with a screening of the film, the conversation with Vilensky will evoke the question of the necessity for artists and art to commit to an explicit and organized resistance, relating the artistic question to political circumstances, an affirmation of one's position in reaction to an affirmation of the political situation, in France as well as in Russia.

The dinner will be cooked by guest-chefs from Switzerland: Giovanni Carmine, director of the Kunsthalle St Gallen and SandraWehrli, a Zurich's chef
